True soccer season weather as the JVA Boys took on University last night. The game started off as planned with fluid movement and communication. The struggle was trying to get the ball up to the strikers to be able to put points on the board. University scored 2 goals in the first half leaving the Tigers upset and ready for payback in the second half. As the Tigers started the 2nd half you could see determination and hunger to catch up from a 0-2 1st half. The Tigers battled and were able to score a goal by Fernando Davila making the score 1-2. As time counted down Jose Rios followed a shot taken by his teammate and was able to score off the keepers fumble of the ball making it now 2-2. Time expired as the Tigers intensely looked for a 3rd goal. The team without a doubt showed tremendous adversity coming back from behind to tie the game. Next match is Friday against Chaparral away.
