A brief synopsis of Coach Krueger’s career, He graduated from Taylor High School where he played for his dad. He then went on to play baseball at UMHB and never left Belton after that. He stayed at UMHB to help them to a runner-up finish at the NAIA World Series in 1992. Mark was working on his master’s degree when he began teaching and coaching at Belton Junior High and was on the baseball coaching staff that won the Class 4A State Championship in 1994. Mark went on to become an assistant principal at Belton Junior High before moving back full time at Belton High School as an assistant football and baseball coach. Mark took over as head coach in the spring of 2017 and his teams qualified for the UIL playoffs every year he was the head coach. Mark is a humble man who does not talk much about his accomplishments or his amazing career as an educator. He was an outstanding PE teacher and there are many adults running around Belton still talking about the speedball tournaments that happened in his PE class. The Belton High School athletic department would like to thank Mark for his 33 years of being a Belton Tiger.
