Belton High Athletics is proud to announce our new Head Baseball Coach, Nick Kozole. Nick is coming to us from New Braunfels Canyon High School. Nick took over at Canyon in 2021 and built that program into a winner, with back to back district titles and a regional finalist team. In that short time, Nick sent 25 student-athletes to play at the next level and he was selected to coach in the San Antonio Area All-Star Game. Before Canyon, Nick was in charge of the Manor baseball team where he inherited a 3-21 team which he turned around to set school records in Wins in a season and District wins in a season, while there he was named Manor High School’s Coach of the Year. From 2016-2019 Nick took over a Greenville High School team that was 0-40, he turned that program around to finish with a 17-9 record his last season there, which was a school record. In three seasons he became Greenville’s winningest coach in school history. Nick began his coaching career at Vandegrift High School in 2013, as the 1st assistant coach and was part of the State Quarter Finalist team in 2015. Nick grew up in Conroe and went to high school at Conroe High he then moved on to play four years at Concordia University in Austin where he was a 4 year letterman, 2 year captain and most recently inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2025. Throughout all his coaching stops Nick has coached football as well, he will also coach football at Belton High. Nick and his wife Sara have two awesome children in son Klay (4 yrs old) and Claire (2 yrs old).
There will be a community Meet and Greet with Nick in the Belton High School Commons on Wednesday, June 4th at 6pm.
