After trailing much of the game, the 9th Red Tigers scored 22 unanswered points in the 2nd half to defeat the East View Patriots, 38-24, at Tiger Field last Wednesday night.
The game was a back & forth battle that was full of momentum swings & both teams answering the scores of the other. The Tigers would fall behind after the 1st quarter, but were able to tie it up, 16-16, by halftime.
At the start of the 2nd half, the 9th Red would again fall behind after the Patriots first possession. But an 83 yd kick-off return for a TD by Aiden Horton would spark the Tigers to score 2 more TDs & shut out the Patriots the rest of the game for a 38-24 victory.
The 9th Red Tigers are now 2 - 1 on the season & will be in action tonight at Tiger Field at 6:30pm vs the San Angelo Central Bobcats.
