The JV Red Tigers hosted the Cuero Gobblers on Thursday night. Xander Martinez opened the scoring with a long touchdown catch from Keller Lee. Continuing the scoring on defense, the Tigers Alex Carpenter turned a strip sack into a long touchdown run. Carpenter continued the scoring with a long kickoff return for a touchdown. After trading possessions, Alex Matos returned an interception for a touchdown for the Tigers. The defensive line and linebackers held strong all night, shutting down the Cuero run game, and forcing multiple fumbles. Keller Lee and Aiden Robles got the offense going late in the game with a strong running attack. Robles finished off the scoring for the Tigers with a long touchdown run through the middle of the Cuero defense. The Tigers will get some much earned rest as they enter a bye week.
