Belton Basketball put on a dominant performance Tuesday night, rolling past the Waco Lions 97–47 in a game that showcased the Tigers’ firepower and defensive intensity. From the opening minutes, Belton set the tone with relentless pressure, fast-paced execution, and confident shot-making. The Tigers jumped out early and never let up, controlling the game on both ends of the floor and overwhelming Waco with their depth and balance.
Jay’dn Loggins and Ty Johnson led the offensive explosion, pouring in 22 and 24 points respectively to pace the Tigers. Belton was red-hot from beyond the arc, knocking down an impressive 18 three-pointers on the night as the ball moved freely and shooters found rhythm. Abran Knight and Jayden Holt added valuable scoring off the bench, keeping the pressure on and ensuring there was no drop-off when substitutions were made.
While the offense grabbed headlines, Belton’s defense and playmaking were just as impactful. Luke Munden, Noah Childers, Gavin Ross, and Asa Thomas were elite in setting the defensive tone, creating turnovers, and igniting transition opportunities. Inside, Daniel Briscoe and Keishawn Coles provided strong scoring and rebounding presence in the paint, giving the Tigers a physical edge. With contributions coming from every corner of the lineup, Belton delivered a complete team performance in a convincing win over Waco.
