The Belton JV Tigers displayed plenty of heart in a gritty matchup against the Ellison Eagles, but they ultimately came up short in a 45-54 loss. Despite the final score, the game remained a highly competitive affair from start to finish, with the Tigers staying within striking distance for the entire duration of the contest. Hunter Hurst led the scoring effort for Belton, finishing with 12 points and providing a consistent offensive spark that kept the team in the hunt. While the Tigers' resilience was on full display, they weren't quite able to overcome Ellison's late-game execution.

Looking toward the future, the Tigers are viewing this performance as a roadmap for improvement. In the coming practices, the team will place a heavy emphasis on rebounding and playing with a faster tempo to better control the flow of the game. By sharpening their work on the glass and pushing the pace, Belton aims to create more high-percentage scoring opportunities and keep opponents on their heels. The Tigers remain focused on these fundamentals as they prepare to bounce back and showcase their growth in the next game.
