This past weekend on Friday and Saturday, the Belton Tigers Swim Team finished out their competitive season at the Region VI-5A Championship Meet in College Station! While we are sad that it is the end of the season, we saw some massive improvements in terms of time drops and competitive spirit. Despite the high-level of competition and being in one of the toughest Regions in 5A, several Belton Tigers still found a way to make it out of Prelims and into the Top 16 at Finals! With some massive performances coming from our underclassmen, like Freshman Adrien Oros, Jannette Davis, Lillie Pasco, Emily Layne, and Sophomores Ema Whitzel, Micah Rodriguez, Wyatt Nelson, and Michael Reeves, our swimmers once again brought one of the smallest teams and still finished top 12 in both Girls and Boys. Junior Kirra Martin led the way in scoring amongst the 5 Belton Girls that scored a total of 99 points and finished 9th overall. Freshman Adrien Oros was the male top-scorer amongst 6 Belton Boys that scored 63 points and finished 11th overall.
