Congratulations to Belton softball on their season opening win 5-4 over Shoemaker. Tara Stone took the mound and dominated with 19 strikeouts. Lauren Vazquez and Hanna Wheeler led the offense for the Tigers going 2 for 3 at the plate. Stone and Wheeler also led the team with 2 RBI’s each. Wheeler with and 2 RBI double and Stone with a 2 run home run in the top of the 7th. Overall a great team with for the Tigers as they look forward to traveling to College Station for the NFCA Leadoff Classic this weekend.
