Belton Powerlifting Battles to 6th at Temple Wildcat Invitational

The Belton Tiger Powerlifting Team traveled to Temple on Wednesday, the 11th, to compete in the Temple Wildcat Powerlifting Meet at the Mayborn Center. Competing against a strong field of athletes from across the area, the Tigers delivered an impressive performance and finished 6th overall as a team, showcasing both strength and determination on the platform.

Belton had multiple athletes place in their respective weight classes, highlighting the depth and competitiveness of the program.

In the 132-pound weight class, Owen Rivera earned a strong 4th-place finish, setting the tone early for the Tigers.

In the 148-pound division, Jorge Guardiola powered his way to a 3rd-place finish, earning a spot on the podium with a standout performance.

The Tigers were well represented in the highly competitive 165-pound class, where Noah Hernandez secured 4th place and Jakoby Perez finished 6th, adding valuable team points.

In the 181-pound division, Brandon Henriquez placed 10th, while Dominic Weinert finished 11th, both battling through a tough flight and contributing to the team’s overall score.

At 198 pounds, Ethan Greenlees delivered a strong showing with a 4th-place finish, continuing Belton’s trend of top-tier performances.

In the 220-pound weight class, Ian Smith earned a solid 5th-place finish, competing with confidence and consistency across all three lifts.

Rounding out the Tigers’ top performers, Keaton Richardson claimed 3rd place in the 275-pound division, earning another podium finish for Belton and capping off a successful day of competition.

The Tigers’ 6th-place team finish reflects the hard work, discipline, and commitment shown daily in the weight room. As the season progresses, the team continues to build momentum and gain valuable meet experience that will serve them well in upcoming competitions.

Belton Powerlifting will look to carry this performance forward as they continue preparing for the challenges ahead.
