The Lady Tigers closed out the first round of district play in dominant fashion with a 6-0 victory over Chaparral on Tuesday night.
The scoring started early in the first half when Adriana Jaimes found the back of the net off an assist from Lauren McKinney. Shortly after, Penelope Vizcarra doubled the lead, finishing a great setup from Alisa Jackson to give the Lady Tigers a 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.
The second half saw the offense continue to roll. Michaela Dvonch opened the scoring after the break, followed by a goal from Lauren McKinney. Destiny Schutz added another off an assist from Michaela, and Lauren capped off the night with her second goal of the match, assisted by Alisa.
With the win, the Lady Tigers move to 4-0-1 in district play and 5-5-3 overall.
Next up, the Lady Tigers travel to Waco on Friday to take on University High School as they begin the second round of district competition.
