On Tuesday, September 29th, the Belton Tigers hosted University High School to wrap up the first round of district. The Tigers swept the Trojans in three sets (25-23, 25-12, 25-17). We honored our 4 seniors at the start of last night's match. Our program would like to shout out and thank Ella Tucek, Taylor Collins, Ciaran Messersmith, and Reagan Stuart for all the hard work and dedication to our program!

The Tigers energy was electric last night from all coaches, players and our student section! It was a great team win with contributions from all players. Malu Pula had a stellar performance in both the front row and back row. She led the team with 11 kills and also added 15 digs and 4 aces. Emma Harvey followed behind Pula with 6 kills and added 5 blocks, 4 digs, and 4 aces. Taylor Collins and Kiki Ellis also added 5 kills to the Tigers win followed by Kensley Wolfe with 4 kills and Emily Potts collecting 2 kills. Ella Tucek led ran our offense and collected 18 assists, followed by Reagan Stuart with 8 assists.
Our defense was on fire with their hustle and mindset to not let a ball drop. Ciaran Messersmith, Amaiyah Cruz, and Reagan Stuart all contributed 7 digs on the night. Followed by Wolfe with 5 digs, Collins with 4 digs, and Rexlynn Drake and Potts adding 2 digs.

Overall, it was an exciting game and the Tigers were determined to finish with a win. This win brought the Tigers' standing to 5-2 in district. The Tigers will continue district play on Friday. They will travel to Legacy Ranch High School and play at 5:00pm. Let's go Tigers!
