The Belton High School swim team competed in the 2026 BISD Fall Invitational on October 3, turning in a strong performance against a competitive field of teams. The Tigers collected multiple top-eight finishes throughout the meet, led by several standout individual performances. On the girls side, Jamie Hall won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:01.51 and the 100-yard freestyle in 56.49, while Ema Whitzel won the 50-yard freestyle in 27.48 and finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:04.79. For the boys, Adrien Oros placed third in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:57.53 and won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:06.48. Wyatt Nelson followed with fourth place in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:00.85 and second place in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:17.56. Micah Rodriguez added a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:33.29 and took seventh in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:11.56.
Belton's relay squads also produced several top-eight finishes. The girls 200-yard freestyle relay team of Hall, Whitzel, Lillie Pasco, and Avantika Chattergoon placed fourth in 2:01.10, while the girls 400-yard freestyle relay team of Hall, Whitzel, Pasco, and Chattergoon finished second in 4:42.60. On the boys side, the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Oros, Nelson, Rodriguez, and Luke Brunsting placed fifth in 1:46.03. The boys 400-yard freestyle relay team of Oros, Nelson, Brunsting, and Rodriguez capped off the meet with a first-place finish in 3:57.09. These relay performances, combined with the Tigers' individual swims, provided valuable points and highlighted Belton's depth and competitiveness throughout the invitational.
The Tigers continued to build momentum as they competed against a strong field at their home invitational. Belton's girls finished fifth overall with 150 points, while the boys finished fourth overall with 176 points. With strong individual finishes from Hall, Whitzel, Oros, Nelson, and Rodriguez, along with four top-eight relay performances, the Tigers showed they are continuing to make progress as the season moves forward.
