In a hard fought 4 set match on the road at Ellison High School, the Belton Varsity volleyball team fell to the Eagles (17-25, 25-22, 23-25, 26-28). After a slow start in the first set, The Tigers came back in the second with a new fire. Every point was a battle through the 3rd and 4th sets, unfortunately we were unable to come out on top.
Leading the hitters were Emma Harvey, Kiki Ellis, Taylor Collins, and Malu Pula. Leading in blocks were Harvey and Gelissa Nelson in her varsity debut.
In the back row Ciaran Messersmith, Rexlynn Drake, and Amaiyah Cruz took care of business and made key plays for the Tigers. Additionally, our setters, Reagan Stuart and Ella Tucek played a key role in the Tigers' offense. Both setters played great defense and did a great job leading our team.
The Tigers are eager to get back on the court Thursday, October 8th. We will host Shoemaker and play at 6:00pm. Let's go Tigers!
