The Tigers got off to a rocky start in Friday night’s season opener as early nerves led to turnovers and missed shots. However, holding the Lorena Leopards to just 40 points hit the team's defensive goal, and the squad knows its best basketball lies ahead. Genny Nelson anchored the effort inside with 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and a handful of points—a stat line the team is excited to watch grow. With eyes forward, the preseason remains a time to build chemistry, learn from mistakes, and sharpen up. The Tigers return home Tuesday night to take on Pflugerville Connally in their home opener.
