Great Start to the JVA Boys Soccer District season. The JVA team showed up to play against the Ellison Eagles Tuesday night. The game started fast as the Tigers put a lot of pressure on the Eagles back line causing them to foul Samuel Clark inside the 18 yard box. This gave the Tigers an early lead of 1-0. As the game went on there was strong play by the mid-field and strikers as the ball was slotted across for the second goal of the night again by Samuel Clark. The second half started off rough as the Tigers were put on their heels but the back line and our keeper Michael Wood made some plays and saves to keep the Eagles at bay. Late in the second half Jonathan Saldivar slots the ball across and Saul Garcia put in the Tigers third goal. 3-1 overall and 1-0 in District. Great Job!!!
Next game is away Friday against Waco University.
