The Belton Tigers’ JV softball team capped off going undefeated in district this year with a 12-2 win over Ellison. Gabbi Heltness gave up 2 unearned runs, 3 walks, and struck out 6 to record all the team’s outs. Brooke Matamoros had a grand slam in the park home run. 6 other Tigers had hits to go along with 8 walks, 3 hit by pitch and 8 stolen bases, including 2 by Kadence McNeely. Abigail Corona had 2 rbis on the night as well. We are very proud of our JV team this season. They are a privilege to coach. They worked hard, supported each other every game, and did everything the coaches asked of them all season. We also want to give a special shout out to Kenadie Vanderveer and Avi Roberts for being amazing team managers. We truly could not have done it without them.
