Last Wednesday, the Freshmen Red Tigers opened the 2024 season at Tiger Field against Pflugerville Hendrickson. After many practices & 2 scrimmages, the Tigers were primed ready for action & showed improvement on both sides of the ball.
After a scoreless 1st quarter, Hendrickson opened the 2nd quarter with the first TD of the game, but failed to make the extra point. The Tigers immediately responded with a 42-yard run by Cason Morton, & Morgan Pascoe added the extra point to take the lead.
After back-and-forth possessions, the 1st half would end 7-6 with the Tigers on top.
In the 2nd half, the Tigers looked to make it a 2-score game with a few long drives. But the momentum of the game would shift with a 91-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Hendrickson.
