In a Friday night game on the first of the month, the Belton Tigers Girls Freshman Red Basketball team took on the McCallum Knights for their first game of the season. The game started off with a quick 6 points from Laila Koonce-Huston and 2 points from Kaydence Morales. The Tigers held the knights to only 5 points the entire game with their first points not coming until the second quarter. Lillian Baggett had a great all-around game scoring having 8 points, 4 steals and 4 assists on the night. The Tigers' leading rebounders were Hannah Martinez having 6 rebounds and 5 rebounds each came from Jada Gage and Kadence Morales. The Tigers beat the Knights 43-5 with the leading scorers being Laila Koonce-Huston with 18 pts, Lilian Baggett with 8pts and Kaydence Morales with 11 pts. The Tigers take on the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs on Tuesday, November 4th.
