In an exciting game on the road, the girls basketball team pulled out a win against Rogers High School, 52-38. Although it was a 14 point win, all but the last few minutes of game were intense and close. The Tigers went into half time down 3 points but outscored the Eagles to go into the 4th quarter with a tied ball game. Handling the end of the game well, the Tigers ran away with the lead outscoring their opponent 19-5 in the final 8 minutes of play. Rebounds from Madison Bowling, Emma Harvey and Lily Trujillo allowed the momentum to grow. Scoring from all but one Belton player made for an exciting game. Now 4-5, the Tigers take on Temple at home on Friday to continue their preseason.
