Belton High School kicked off it's inaugural wrestling season by traveling to the Delco Center and competing in the Capital Classic. On day 1, our JV boys and JV girls represented BHS in a pool of over 700 wrestlers.
Cadence Hickman won our very first GOLD medal by pinning her entire bracket.
Jamie Martins and Gabriela Magana score silvers by pinning their way to the championship matches.
On the boys side:
Jonathan Reardon and Dreken Gallina scored silver medals.
Rylan Kranz and Frank Medina scored bronze medals.
During this event, many records were set very high. Nohlin Kamprath set the record for most points scored in a match with 20!
Brandon Ozark scored the fastest pin at 16 seconds.
Our JV Boys and Girls represented Belton with pride and class and will be back in action on Friday Dec 6.
