The Belton Varsity were on the road to open district play at Lake Belton High School and lost 50-37.
Offense was slow to start as the tigers only shot 3 for 26 in the first half. Even though the Tigers won the second half by 3 points, the whole dug early in the game was too much. Ella Tucek, in her first game back off an injury, had 5 points including going 4 for 4 from the freethrow line. Emma Harvey was a defensive stand out with two blocks and 5 rebounds. Emma Flory also added another 5 on the boards and 3 assists.
The Tigers are back at it on Tuesday at home against The Waco University Trojans and will be celebrating senior and parent night.
