Belton Varsity Tigers scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Iris Molina drew a walk, scoring one run, and Stuart hit a grand slam to center field.
Tara Stone took the loss for Belton Varsity Tigers. The hurler went five and one-third innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits, striking out seven and walking four. Stuart stepped in the circle first for Belton Varsity Tigers. The right-handed pitcher surrendered eight hits and nine runs (three earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three.
Stone, Stuart, and Molina each collected two hits for Belton Varsity Tigers. Belton Varsity Tigers had patience at the plate, accumulating five walks for the game. Hailey Schutz and Jasmine Ruyle led the team with two walks each.
Belton Varsity Tigers will travel to Deer Park Varsity Deer for their next game on Thursday.
