Last night our Belton Tigers opened up the season on our home court where we hosted the McNeil Mavericks. The varsity Tigers took the game in three straight sets (25-15, 26-24, 25-15) to defeat the Mavericks.

The first set, the Tigers came out with all the energy and were aggressive offensively. During the second set, the Tigers had a little trouble finishing and allowed the Mavericks to tie up the game at 24-24. However, the Tigers were able to scrap together the last two points to take set 2. In the last set, the Tigers were able to stay focused and take game 3 to win the match.

Collectively, the Tigers had 30 kills, 21 digs, 14 aces, 4 blocks, and 27 assists.

The Tigers will be back in action on Thursday, August 14th. They will travel to Leander to participate in the LGE Tournament. Lets go Tigers!
