This past weekend our Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Huntsville to compete in a three day tournament. The Tigers competed against Madisonville, Livingston, Bryan, Huntsville, Temple, Caldwell, and West Fork. The Tigers went 2-1 on the first day of the tournament. The Tigers advanced to the Gold bracket after a 3-0 sweep on day 2 defeating Huntsville, Temple, and Caldwell. In the Gold Bracket, the Tigers defeated Bryan and the then fell short against West Fork (21-25, 20-25). But, the Tigers battled for 3rd place in a 3 set match with Madisonville and came out on top.
Senior OH, CJ Stites, was awarded a spot on the all-tournament team after a stellar performance all weekend.
The Tigers finished 7-2 overall in the tournament.

The Tigers will be back on the court Tuesday, August 26th at Harker Heights High School. They will also have their last tournament for the season in Academy Thursday-Saturday. Let’s go Tigers!
