Last night, our Belton Tigers hosted Lake Belton for the district opener. Although the match did not end in the result we wanted (25-13, 25-18, 25-19), we are very proud of the way our team held our composure in an intense environment, never gave up on the ball, and ended the game better than we started.

The Tigers fell in three sets. However, the Tigers bettered the score every single set which is a testament to the fight and character our kids have. Unfortunately, our offense struggled a bit due to serve receive passing errors. But, there were a lot of players that stepped up in other places to make up for that. It is great to see the character development we work on in off season come through in the last couple of days.

We are moving forward and are focused on our next match. There are a lot of games left to play in our season. We are very much looking forward to seeing this group of girls keep growing and competing. The Tigers will be back on the court Friday, September 26th. They will travel to University to compete against the Trojans in our second district match up. I have no doubt this group of girls will bounce back together. Always great to be a Tiger!
