The Tigers traveled to Copperas Cove Friday night for an exciting matchup, ultimately falling 54–46. Belton gave up 21 points in the first quarter while managing just 6 of their own, creating a deficit that proved difficult to overcome across the next 24 minutes.
Despite the slow start, the Tigers won the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters with defensive intensity and confidence on offense. Emma Flory recorded her second-highest scoring game of the season with 12 points, paired with Isabella Warner’s strong 20-point performance. Emma Harvey made her presence felt inside, impacting the boards and anchoring the defense.
The highlight of the night came in the third quarter as the Tigers went on multiple runs following halftime adjustments, teamwork and resilience.
Belton continues preseason play on the road next Tuesday at Waco Connally before heading into the Jarrell Invitational Tournament.
