COACH SNIFFIN ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

Coach Sniffin Announces Retirement

BELTON HIGH SCHOOL

BHS | 12/15/2025

Head Football Coach and Athletic Coordinator Brett Sniffin announces his retirement
today. In six seasons with Belton, he finished with a 35-31 record. He is the only head
coach in Belton High School history to qualify for the playoffs in five consecutive
seasons. Belton was the outright district champion in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, and
that was the first time since the 1973-74 seasons. In 2021 Belton High School qualified
for the postseason in all sports, which was the only time in school history. Overall
Coach Sniffin finished his career with 110 wins and 53 losses. His teams qualified for
the playoffs every season except during the 2020 Covid year. His teams won 7 district
championships and in 2015 he led Ridge Point to the State Semifinals. Early in his
career he won a State Championship as the defensive coordinator in Iowa at Hudson
High School in 1994. He ends a high school coaching career that started in 1992 and
was inspired by his father who coached high school football in Iowa. Congratulations to Coach Sniffin on a wonderful career. We are very grateful for his years of service to Belton ISD and all he and his staff have accomplished.
