Tonight the Belton Tigers traveled to Midway High School to take on the Lancaster Tigers in the first round of playoffs.

Belton Tigers had control over the first set until a few serve receive errors in crucial moments (22-25). Unable to regain control of the second set, the Tigers found themselves in a deficit that was hard to come back from (12-25). In the third set, the Tigers gave all they had and fought point for point with Lancaster. They showed lots of fight and heart after being down 17-22 in the set to coming within one (21-22). The Tigers were unable to pick up a few balls defensively that were needed to keep key plays alive. Ultimately, the Tigers fell (25-22) in the third set.

Proud is an understatement from the fight that was shown tonight in the court. Especially bouncing back like they did after the second set. All we can ever ask of them is to give their best effort, and they did. We are proud of the way Belton Volleyball was represented. The Tigers close the season at a 22-21 season record, a 9-5 district record and third place finish.
