A great showing for the JVB Boys Soccer team as they competed in the Belton JV Soccer Tournament. The 1st match was against Salado who are very well coached. It was a battle with no score until the second half. There was a PK scored by Carlos Acuna sealing the game with a win 1-0.
The 2nd match was against Cove and the Tigers were very dominate getting up to a 2-0 score by half time with goals scored by Bryan Estrada and Matthew Bates. In the second half of the game Matthew Bates was able to get another goal making the score 3-0. Cove fought hard and were able to score 3 for themselves tying up the game 3-3.
The 3rd match was against Harker Heights. For the Tigers this was a match of determination and redemption. The Tiger back line was unbreakable most of the 1st half but due to an unlucky ball bouncing of our back line Harker Heights went up 1-0. The 2nd half the Tigers shotgun blasted shots at the goal to try and tie the game but were unsuccessful.
By the end of the Tournament the Tigers went 1-1-1 so not a bad showing at all and look very promising going into district. Go Tigers!!!
