Shutting out the Eagles in the first quarter was a great start to what became a 56-38 victory for the Tigers Tuesday night. The Ellison defense didn't seem to have an answer to Isabella Warner's electric offensive performance and on the defensive end the Tigers had their best rebounding of district play, led by Emma Harvey. Seniors Ke'Ara Shanks and Emma Flory left it on the floor on the defensive end and led their teams as captains. On the sidelines, Chloe Ortega, the senior athletic trainer, also supported her teammates.
The Tigers travel to Waco to finish the first round of district play, both teams sitting at 2-2 in district.
