The Belton JV Tigers faced off against the Chaparral Bobcats in a high-energy matchup that remained competitive through the final whistle, though the Tigers ultimately fell 39-53. From the tip-off, Belton showed they were ready to compete, matching Chaparral's physicality and keeping the game within reach. By the time both teams headed to the locker rooms for halftime, the Tigers were trailing by just five points, leaving the door wide open for a second-half comeback.

Coming out for the third quarter, Belton played with a renewed sense of urgency and high intensity, looking to flip the momentum in their favor. While the offensive energy was there, the Tigers struggled to find the defensive consistency needed to bridge the gap. Despite their best efforts to press the Bobcats, Belton was unable to string together enough consecutive stops to overtake the lead, allowing Chaparral to maintain their cushion and eventually pull away in the closing minutes.

On the stat sheet, Hunter Hurst delivered another standout performance, leading the Tigers' scoring attack with a gritty 18 points. Hurst was a constant threat in the paint and on the perimeter, carrying a heavy load for the Belton offense. He was joined by Parker Munz, who chipped in 9 points and provided valuable support throughout the contest. While the result wasn't a win, the Tigers' ability to stay competitive against a tough opponent provides a solid foundation to build upon as they return to the practice floor to sharpen their defensive rotations.
