The Belton Volleyball JV team took their season opener 2-1 over the Round Rock McNeil Mustangs! After a rocky first set, the Tigers settled their nerves and came alive. With 8 players new to the JV level, chemistry is still a work in progress, but with every point, the team’s confidence in one another continued to grow.

It was exciting to see Gelissa Nelson earn her first kills of the season, while Jayden Burr showed just how valuable selfless defense can be with digs that kept the offense alive and rallies going. This group is just getting started, and all will admit there is plenty of room to grow!

The JV Tigers will have to wait patiently for their next opportunity to take home a win when they return to the court Tuesday, August 18th, at home against Bryan Rudder!
