The Belton girls came out strong in the first quarter, finishing just one point shy of the lead against Chaparral Tuesday night. Turnovers, however, led to a scoring run by the Bobcats that shifted momentum. The Tigers responded with 17 points in the fourth quarter in an effort to close the gap, but the final score ended at 64–40.
This performance marked a major improvement from the first-round matchup. Balanced scoring and disciplined fundamentals made the difference for Belton. The Tigers will look to secure a playoff spot against Ellison on Friday at 7:00.
