Belton fell to Ellison 63–49 in a hard-fought matchup that tested the Tigers’ resilience and composure. Despite the final score, Belton showed stretches of strong play and competed with toughness throughout the night. Ty Johnson led the Tigers with 16 points, consistently attacking and providing a steady presence offensively as Belton looked to find rhythm against an aggressive Ellison squad.
Gavin Ross and Luke Munden did an excellent job of facilitating the offense, creating opportunities for teammates and keeping the ball moving against pressure. Defensively, Daniel Briscoe and Noah Childers brought solid effort, battling on the interior and making things difficult around the rim. On the bench, Keishawn Coles provided valuable energy and effort and was talking like a champion. While the result didn’t go Belton’s way, the Tigers will look to build on the positives and continue growing as the season moves forward.
