The Belton JV Tigers faced a challenging cross-town rivalry matchup against Lake Belton, ultimately falling by a score of 46-59. The game began with the Tigers struggling to find their rhythm, falling into an early deficit that forced them to play from behind. However, the squad showed immense resilience, battling back through the middle quarters to turn the game into a highly competitive contest. Their grit and refusal to quit allowed them to close the gap and put pressure on Lake Belton deep into the second half.

The offensive effort was balanced, with Camryn Jackson and Hunter Hurst both leading the way with 12 points each. Their scoring was bolstered by Taj Keeler, who contributed 10 points of his own, providing the Tigers with a consistent three-pronged attack. A major key to Belton's comeback was the relentless energy of Parker Munz, whose hustle on the boards and ability to create second-chance opportunities kept the Tigers in the hunt and allowed them to capitalize on crucial possessions when the game was on the line.

Ultimately, while Belton's comeback attempt was valiant, Lake Belton managed to stifle the momentum by hitting several big shots late in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Despite the loss, the Tigers proved they have the character to overcome adversity and stay competitive against high-level opponents. As the team looks to move forward, they will likely look back at this performance as a testament to their fighting spirit and use it as fuel for their next district challenge.
