The Tigers went 1-4-1 at Turf Wars this last weekend.
In game one the Tigers fell to Troy 4-6. Tara Stone started on the mound and threw 4 innings with only 2 earned runs and 8 strikeouts. Hanna Wheeler then came in and threw the last inning with 0 runs and 1 strikeout. Stone led the team with 2 hits and 1 RBI. Andalyn Logan had 2 RBI's on one hit.
In game two the Tigers beat Steele 6-4. Reagan Stuart took the mound for the Tigers with 4 runs and 4 strikeouts. Aubrey Lynch went 1 for 1 at the plate leading the Tigers. Stone went 2 for 3, and Reagan Ford led the team with 2 RBI's on 1 hit.
On day two the Tigers fell to Goose Creek 6-8. Wheeler started on the mound with 2 earned runs and 3 strikeouts in 2.33 innings. Stuart came in to throw 2.67 innings with 1 earned run and 2 strikeouts. Stone went 3 for 3 at the plate with 2 home runs and 3 RBI's. Iris Molina went 2 for 3 at the plate with 1 single and 1 double.
The tigers tied Glenn to end day two 2-2. Stone was on the mound for the Tigers with 0 earned runs and 11 strikeouts. Lauren Vazquez and Anessa Ortiz led the Tiger offense with and on base percentage .667.
On day three the Tigers lost to Midland 6-9. Stuart threw for the Tigers with 3 earned runs and 3 strikeouts in 6 innings. The offense was led by Ford and Jonna Hollingsworth who both had a 1000 on base percentage. Ford, Vazquez, and Molina all had 2 hits a piece for the Tigers.
The Tigers ended the weekend losing 0-6 to Georgetown. Stone started and threw 4 innings with 5 earned runs and 3 strikeouts. Wheeler came in for relief and threw 1 inning with 0 runs. Logan went 3 for 3 at the plate with 3 singles. Stone was close behind with 2 singles.
Overall the Tigers look to clean up the defense going into their game at Gatesville on Tuesday night.
