Congratulations to Varsity softball on their win over McGregor 11-10 in 8 innings. It was a complete team effort to come from behind to win in the 8th. Iris Molina and Anessa Ortiz led the offense with 4 hits each. Tara Stone came in clutch with a 2 run bomb in the bottom of the 7th inning to tie the game. Ortiz had a lead off triple in the 8th inning and Lauren Vazquez had the walk off hit to win the game.

The pitchers all took turns holding down the Tiger defense. Reagan Stuart started for the Tigers throwing 1.33 innings with 4 earned runs and 1 strikeout. Stone came in and threw 4.67 innings with 5 earned runs and 5 strikeouts. Hanna Wheeler came in and closed the game with the last 2 innings with 0 earned runs and 1 strikeout. The defense also had the pitchers backs with 1 double play and 2 outs at bases from the outfield.

Overall it was an incredible team effort to get the win and the Tigers look forward to their game at Whitney High School on Friday at 6:30 pm.
