Tiger Tennis hosted the Shoemaker Grey Wolves this week in their 6th District match of the Season.
The Tigers were ready to get another win and go to 6-1.

Starting with doubles: The Lady Tigers came out 2-1 only losing like 2 girls doubles and dominating at lines 1 (Isha/Anya Jinadatha). Line 3 girls doubles, Eva Rios/Neha Bhat fought hard and pulled out a 3rd set tiebreaker.

The Boys Doubles side swept all 3 lines. Line three of Landon Gorzynski/Landon Carroll pulled a 3rd set 10 point tiebreaker to win all three boys matches.

Mixed Doubles, consisting of Charlie Wagner/Ainslee Alexander went down early and battled to force a 3rd set tiebreaker and win the match. This put the Tigers up in the match 6-1 leading into singles.

Singles Results: The Lady Tigers come out swinging only dropping one out of the 6 matches on the girls side. Isha Jinadatha went 6-0, 6-0 at Line 1. Anya Jinadatha went 6-0, 6-4 at Line 2. Layne Taylor went 7-5, 6-3 at Line 3. Neha Bhat coasted at Line 5 6-4, 6-2. Eva Rios cruised 8-1 at Line 6.

Boys Singles went 4-2 overall. Dropping to close matches. Ben Schanzmeyer went 6-1, 6-3 at Line 1, Tyler Stock at Line 3 battled some adversity and pulled out his match in a 3rd set tiebreaker. Landry Preston ran away at Line 4 6-2, 6-1. Creighton Carroll eased his way to an 8-1 victory at Line 6.

The Tigers won the overall 15-4 to put them at 12-2 overall and 5-1 in District. Their last district match will be at Killeen next Tuesday September 29th. Go BIG RED!!!
