The Freshmen A team went 1-1 on the first day of the Belton Tournament. Their first game was a tough battle with Harker Heights. The Tigers lost 48-22. Game standouts were Nalelly Siprian with 8 points in the 4th quarter and an energy that helped encourage her team. Defensive standouts were Melissa Farmer and Dylan Waldrep. Both players took a charge underneath the basket and made solid passes to help the Tigers outscore their opponent in the 2nd and 4th quarters. In the second game against Lake Belton's B team, the Tigers won 23-20. An overall strong team effort led the Freshmen team to a win with 9 of our 12 players tallying points in the game. The Tigers are back at it again on Saturday at Day 2 of the Belton Tournament.
