The JV Tigers went 4-0 in the Westwood Tournament. On Thursday, they defeated Hendrickson 9-1. Gabbi Heltness pitched well with 9 strikeouts, 3 walks, 1 hit batter, 1 walk, and 0 hits. The team had 4 walks and 6 hits with doubles from Jasmine Ruyle, Emma Lusty, and Natalie Fernandez. Then, they defeated Westwood 10-1. Hanna Wheeler pitched another great game with 9 strikeouts, 2 walks, 1 hit and 1 hit batter. The team had 11 hits with two doubles from Wheeler and one each from Ruyle and Brooke Matamoros. On Saturday, they defeated Hutto in a close game, 5-4. Wheeler pitched well for the win with 4 strikeouts, 4 walks, 3 hits, and 2 hit batters. The team had 8 hits including doubles from Matamoros, Ruyle, and Maddison Bowling and 2 triples from Bowling and Aniyah Hernandez. The Tigers finished the day with a 7-2 win over Killeen. Matamoros pitched well with 6 strikeouts, 1 hit batter, 4 walks and 0 hits. The team had 8 hits with a double by Emma Lusty and triples by Ruyle and Gabbi Heltness and 9 walks.

The Tigers face Killeen again on Tuesday at Killeen High School at 5 pm.
