Congratulations to Varsity softball on their win over Chaparral to move them into 2nd place in district on Thursday. The Tigers came out strong with a 25-2 run rule win over the Bobcats. Lucy-Liu Gaines-Lucas took the mound for the Tigers and had 7 strikeouts and only 2 earned runs. Gaines-Lucas also held the Bobcats to only 3 hits on the night. Offensively the Tigers came out strong with 12 runs in the first inning. Iris Molina and Lole Reyes both batted 1000 on the night. Other notable hitters were Jacklyn Munoz and Ramsey Evans-Curran both going 3 for 4. Evans-Curran also led the team with 5 RBI's on the night. Overall the team had a great win pushing them to 2nd place in district. Come support the Tigers on Tuesday March 19th at Shoemaker high school to break the 2nd place tie.
