"Learning how to win" has been a theme woven into this year's season. Last night was no except for the girls varsity who snagged their first district win of the year against Waco University. Offense was not gelling in the first half and the Tiger's trailed 16-20. It wasn't till the 4th quarter till the Tigers seemed to "click" and closed the gap and won 29-28.
Team defense was key to keeping the Trojans under wraps when shots wouldn't fall.
Scoring did come from 7 if of the 9 Tigers; distributed scoring has definitely been a common thread in all 11 wins on the season. Isabella Warner lead the team with 11 followed by Avelle Bonfoh with 7. The Tigers take on Chaparral on the road Friday.
